Recorded Jazz in the 21st Century: A Consumer Guide

This is an ongoing book project started in August 2016. The idea is to collect most of Tom Hull's reviews of new jazz records from 2000 up to the current date (but probably not past the end of 2019). The first stage of this project was to collect the 26 Jazz Consumer Guide columns published in The Village Voice between April 2004 and May 2011 (plus the unpublished 27th and the rough drafts for a 28th). This was done as Stage 1 by September 10, 2016. The archive for these columns is here. This amounted to a bit more than one thousand albums, totalling 144 pages.

The second stage will be to add reviews cobbled together from the numerous "Prospecting" and "Surplus" notes accumulated during that period.
