In most cases I also check the original sources to find records missed by Metacritic, but I don't make the effort to subjectively evaluate ungraded reviews (what a hideous job that must be). Numbers in parens following the abbreviation specify size of year-end list. Count +1 for year-end list mentions (or +2 for monitored publications with no grade, on the theory that I may have missed the original grade -- although more often the original grade was low, and something else is going on):
